Message from Principal

As we stand on the threshold of a new academic session, I extend hearty and warm welcome to teaching faculty, staff and students to the family of Phek Government College. Each academic session is a renewed height and dream with targets for the future.

I am deeply honoured to have the opportunity to lead such a prestigious institution of Phek District known for its rich legacy and unwavering commitment to excellence in education.

I am confident of receiving the whole hearted support of both internal and external stakeholders towards the vision of ‘Lighted to Light’ into reality. God Bless.

“Lighted to Light”

NAAC Accredited B+ Grade

"Phek Government College" (formerly "Phek College") was established on 28th July 1981 in Phek, Nagaland, with the vision to provide higher education in the region.

Initially, the College offered courses only up to the Pre-University level and Degree courses were introduced only in 1994 with B.A. General Course and Honours courses in Political Science, Education and History. On the recommendation of the District Planning Board, Phek College was taken over by the Government of Nagaland on 1st February 1990.
